I thought I'd share a few photos of some cards I created for a Valentine's card exchange, hosted by Ever So Lovely.
I created two different designs to send out; both cards featured the phrase "all you need is love is all you need", but each was assembled a little differently. I'm so excited that I finally got to try out a technique I've been wanting to use forever: sewing paper! The pink design was a little booklet consisting of a front, back, and inside page, sewn together along one edge. I adore the little flag on the top left! If you can't tell from the photos, the flag had a tiny heart punched out of it.
Putting together the second card was a little trickier: it consisted of two pieces of vellum, stitched together with red thread to make an "envelope". Inside the vellum envelope was the valentine card, along with a handful of heart shaped confetti.
I had so much fun creating these Valentine's! It's not often that I do a project just for me, and since all the designing I do for work is digital, it was great to play with actual paper for a change!
This is very pretty!
