New save the date cards, available through Belletristics' Etsy Shop!

Print these designs at home, or take them to a professional printer! Your chosen save the date design will be customized with your information and colors (and photo, if shown in sample). Sizes can be adjusted to accommodate your needs, as long as the design retains its orientation and shape. You can use the sample wording shown, or substitute your own wording.

Blog and Website Makeover; Availability Update

Hi everyone! Just wanted to let you all know that posting is going to be light for the next few weeks-Belletristics is getting a makeover!

The new blog layout is almost finished (come check it out if you're using a blog reader!), but the website is getting a major overhaul and will be unavailable (beginning this week) while I get all the kinks worked out.
The new site should be ready to launch by November (hopefully sooner) and I will keep you posted if anything changes.

Belletristics' Etsy shop may be temporarily unavailable this week as I update listings and make a few adjustments.

Design service availability is as follows for the next few weeks. I'll be updating this availability if anything changes.

New clients: if you wish to place a new custom design order, please contact me for availability. I will only be accepting a small number of new custom orders during the next few weeks due to time constraints.

TURN AROUND TIME
Turn around time is 3-5 business days from completing your order to receiving your first proof. Revised proofs will be sent 1-2 business days from receiving your revision request.

Minted 2010 Holiday Card Spectacular: Editor's Picks!

Remember the Minted 2010 Holiday Card Spectacular? Well, they announced the editor's picks last week, and I'm very happy to say two of my designs, Starry Night and Be Merry, were among the lovely designs chosen! (You can see these designs along with all the winners from the Holiday card contest over at Minted)

Both cards (along with A Very Merry Christmas, which was voted in the top 25) will be available for sale exclusively through Minted this fall.

Custom Stationery Designs for Carolyn

Carolyn ordered a few more stationery designs to coordinate with the custom table numbers and escort cards I'd previously created for her.

The program design was a two sided flat card, featuring a large calligraphy inspired flourish on the front.

The well wishes and candy buffet signs featured variations of the same gorgeous design!

I also designed tags for Carolyn to label the different candies in her candy buffet.

And last but not least, Carolyn requested custom drink and cupcake flags to coordinate with the rest of her designs!

Custom Monogram Design for Kristen

Kristen was looking for a traditional and formal monogram design, to use on her reception stationery. She requested a logo that incorporated their initials, along with a calligraphy inspired flourish.

Custom Reception Stationery for Abby and Zachary

I have so many lovely designs to post today, and they all were for the same couple! Their wedding was this past weekend, so I do have to take moment to say "Congrats!" to Abby and Zachary! 

For the last few months, I've been working closely with Abby on the stationery designs for her wedding reception. I'd previously created a custom monogram and save the date design, along with a custom logo for their out of town tote bags, all of which were a blast to create! Their reception stationery was no different! 

First off, we have their "specialty drink" sign. I love the diagonal text, and their drink name is so lovley!

Their favor tags, explaining the reason the couple chose to give their particular favor.

For the table numbers, Abby came up with a great idea for a hybrid table number/name card. Each card was numbered, but the number also led into an important event in the couple's relationship.

The escort cards were a folded style design, featuring a lovely light pink flourish.

The menu cards were circular, with a hot pink background and white text. The card also featured the buffalo and palm trees from the couple's monogram.

And last, but certainly not least, we have the ceremony program. The program was a booklet style design, printed on 8-1/2"x11" paper and then folded in half.

The front cover featured the couple's names and ceremony information. On the back, we used one of their engagement photos (by the talented John B. Mueller), along with a short but sweet thank you.

The inside pages contained the order for the ceremony, along with the bridal party.

Ceremony Program for Katie and Matthew

Kate ordered a custom ceremony program design in her wedding colors of amethyst and pine.

For the program cover, we used a decorative flourish as an accent.

The inside pages incorporate an adorable love bird motif- so cute!

Freebie Friday: Damask Favor Box Template

Happy Friday, everyone! This week for Freebie Friday I'm sharing a damask download and print favor box, featuring a pair of adorable love birds!

To use:
1. Download the damask love birds favor box template.
2. Print on 8-1/2" x 11" card stock.
3. Score on dashed fold lines using a bone folder (or butter knife) and ruler.
4. Cut along solid outer border with scissors or exacto knife and ruler.
5. Fold back on dashed lines to form your favor box. Use adhesive or double sided tape to secure side and bottom flap.
6. Enjoy!

Surprise Birthday Party Invitation

Earlier this year, I created a gorgeous invitation suite for Jennifer and her husband, Mark. 

Jennifer contacted me again recently to create a custom invitation design for a surprise birthday party she was hosting for her parents. I love it when I have the chance to work with clients again once the big day has passed!

Jennifer requested a fun and modern invitation, featuring a martini in the design. Other than that, she left the design completely up to me!

CD Label Design for Elizabeth and Peter

Bridget, of SoCo Events, ordered a custom CD label design on behalf of her clients, Elizabeth and Peter. They were looking for a design to coordinate with their monogram (DEC-037 from the ready made collection). The design incorporated their names and wedding date, along with the phrase "A love fifteen years in the making".

The CD contained a mix of the couple's favorite songs, and was given as a favor at their wedding.

New Zazzle Designs: Address Labels

Zazzle has teamed up with Avery to offer a new line of products: Labels! Each label measures 2" x 3 3/4", and will print 8 labels per 8-1/2"x11" sheet. Once you receive your address labels, you can use Avery's Microsoft Word Template 6873  to format your addresses for printing.
