Mix & Match Reception Stationery for Alexandra and Timothy

Alexandra ordered a set of printable mix & match stationery designs to coordinate with her wedding invitation suite! For her reception designs, we used the same fonts, colors, laurel wreath motif, and striped pattern for a coordinating look.
In place of traditional table numbers, each of Alexandra and Timothy's tables were named, using various translations of the phrase "I love you". These same phrases were used on drink flags for their cocktail hour. The couple's laurel wreath monogram made an appearance on the table cards, menu cards, and folded escort cards as well.

Mix and Match Invitation Suite for Deborah and George

Deborah ordered a mix & match invitation suite featuring a mix of damask and striped patterns, topped off with the couple's monogram in an elegant scalloped frame.
Deborah's wedding invitation and envelope liner both featured the couple's monogram; an all over damask pattern was used to add depth to the invitation, while formal stripes filled the envelope liner. The inserts were designed so that when they're stacked together, only the top patterned portion shows. We alternated between stripes and damask for the insert cards. To finish it all off, we went with a wrap around address label in the same striped pattern.

Mix & Match Stationery for Alexandra and Timothy

I'm happy to say the Belletristics' mix & match stationery has been going great so far! This week I'll be showcasing a few of the different mix & match design orders I've completed so far. It's so fun to see the different elements each client chooses come together to create their own stationery suite!
Alexandra was one of my first clients to order a mix & match design! Below you can see the different design elements she chose to include in her wedding stationery.

Alexandra's design ended up being quite simple and classy, and the diagonal striped used on the envelope and response card added a touch of contrast to the suite, without being overwhelming. The laurel wreath motif and monogram at the top of the invitation lends a very traditional feel to the design.

Mix & Match Designs: How it Works, part 5

Today we have the fifth and final part in the mix & match design series, where you'll get to see a few of the many possible options for creating a mix & match monogram.

The fifth mix & match design example focuses on monogram layouts and styles. The examples below use a mix of Block Font 3, Script 9, and Sans Serif Font 6, along with birds and insects motif bi-017, pattern pat-014, and borders bor-022 and bor-028. The examples are shown in the colors Sage and Khaki.

Monograms can include a wide variety of elements—names, initials, dates, motifs, patterns, borders—allowing for nearly endless combinations. The examples below show just a few of the possible results.
When you order a mix & match monogram, you choose which elements to include, and Belletristics takes card of the rest.
Your first proof for a mix & match monogram will include 2-3 design options for you to choose from or request revisions to. Once the design is just the way you want it, Belletristics will send you the final file via email in your choice of JPEG, PNG, or PDF format. How you use it is up to you!

Hopefully you have a good understanding of the mix & match design process after this series! You can find  these examples and more in the mix & match gallery, and an overview of the series is also available on Belletristics' website.
If you have any questions at all, feel free to contact me at sarah[!@]belletristics.com. Or if you're ready to order, you can start off by reading through the mix & match design process, then pick out your colors, fontsmotifspatterns, and borders, and finally, fill out the mix & match order form.

Mix & Match Designs: How it Works, part 4

Today we have part 4 of the mix & match design series, where I'll show you how a monogram can be used in place of a motif.
As you know by now, each mix & match order includes your choice of one motif. Well, what if you don't want to use a motif, and would like to have a monogram instead? No worries, it can be done! If you like, you can choose a ready made monogram from the traditional category  instead of your motif.

The fourth mix & match design example makes use of a monogram, TRA-041, in place of a motif. An elegant mix of fonts—Titling Font 3, Ornamental Font 1, Ornate Script 1, and Script 6—compliment the monogram. The example is shown in the colors Gold and Black.

These examples show how a monogram can take the place of a motif in your design for an elegant and classy look. Depending on the size and placement of the monogram, it can either be the bold focal point of the design, or an elegant embellishment.
The designs below also showcase a variety of ways to combine fonts in your design, for stationery that is unique, while still having a traditional feel. For additional font combination, head over to the suggested font combinations page on Belletristics' website!

Make sure to check back on Monday for the fifth and final part in the mix & match design series, where you'll get to see a few of the many possible options for creating a mix & match monogram.

Mix & Match Designs: How it Works, part 3

In part 3 of the Mix & Match design series, I'm going to go over a few of the ways you can incorporate a pattern and border in your design!

In this third example, Sans Serif Font 4 and Casual Script 10 are used, along with a combination of birds & insects motif bi-018, border bor-009, and pattern pat-025. The example is shown in the colors Flax and Steel.

This example shows how the color, size, and placement of your patterns and borders affect the style of your design. The various motif sizes and placements also impact the overall look of the stationery.
When using a pattern in your stationery, it is usually recommended to use a border as well to block off the area where your text will go.
However (as shown in the bottom left example) you can also use an all over pattern, provided the color is light enough to allow the text to be easy to read.

Have any questions? Feel free to contact me at sarah[!@]belletristics.com. Or if you're ready to order, you can start off by reading through the mix & match design process, then pick out your colors, fontsmotifspatterns, and borders, and finally, fill out the mix & match order form.

Make sure to check back tomorrow for part 4 in the mix & match design series, where I'll show you how a monogram can be used in place of a motif.

Mix & Match Designs: How it Works, part 2

In part 2 of the mix & match design series I'll show you how you can combine two motifs in your mix & match design suite! (keep in mind, your mix & match design order includes one motif, and you can add a second motif for $5)

The examples below illustrate how two motifs can be combined in your stationery. Since this approach will work better with some motifs than others, choosing motifs with the same graphic style would be recommended. For example, motifs be-007 and be-009 would combine nicely for a beach themed design. However, because of the contrast of style, motifs tr-019 and tr-022 would not coordinate as well.

In this second mix & match example, Serif Font 1 and Ornate Script 2 are used, along with combinations of miscellaneous motif mis-023 and transportation motif tr-001. The example is shown in the colors Marigold and Slate.

The following example shows how you can achieve different styles by varying the placement and size of the motifs. The text layouts in each option are also slightly different, to show that something as simple as adjusting the alignment or orientation can have an impact on the look of your design.
These layout options also show the variations you could expect in your first proof for a mix & match order. Your first proof for a mix & match design will consist of 2-3 layout options for the designs ordered, using your chosen design elements. You'll then have the opportunity to request revisions to the options, or approve a design.

Have any questions? Feel free to contact me at sarah[!@]belletristics.com. Or if you're ready to order, you can start off by reading through the mix & match design process, then pick out your colors, fontsmotifspatterns, and borders, and finally, fill out the mix & match order form.

Make sure to check back tomorrow for part 3 in the mix & match design series, where I'll go over a few of the ways you can incorporate a pattern and border in your design!

Mix & Match Designs: How it Works, part 1

This week I'll be going over how you can create your own unique wedding stationery suite with Belletristics' mix & match designs. Each example will use fonts, motifs, patterns, and borders from the available mix & match design elements.

Every mix & match design order includes your choice of fonts and colors, along with one motif, one pattern, and one border. (you can choose additional motifs, patterns, or borders for $5 each) All these elements are completely optional; you can use all three elements, just one, or even choose to not use any design elements to create a typography based suite.

In this first example, Titling Font 1 and Ornate Script 8 are used, along with variations of floral motif fl-007, pattern pat-006, and border bor-019. The example is shown in the colors Ballerina and Steel.

You may choose to use your designs elements separately throughout your stationery pieces. In this example, the floral motif is used on the monogram, invitation, and table number, while the pattern and border are used on the envelope liner, belly band, and escort card.
Multiple copies of a motif can also be combined (as shown in the invitation and table number).
A coordinating look is maintained by using the same fonts and colors throughout all the stationery pieces.
Mix & match designs are available to order a la carte, so you order only the stationery pieces you need! You can choose just a monogram and invitation, or order an entire suite by adding in a save the date card, reception stationery, programs, and thank you notes! For detailed pricing information, please visit Belletristics' website.

Hopefully this example will inspire you to create your very own mix & match suite! To order, start off by reading through the mix & match design process, pick out your colors,  fontsmotifspatterns, and borders, then fill out the mix & match order form.

Have questions? Feel free to contact me at sarah[!@]belletristics.com.

Make sure to check back tomorrow for part 2 in the mix & match design series, where I'll show how two motifs can combined in your stationery design!
